It’s 2022 – time really does fly! 2021 had its ups and downs (to put it very simply), with several life lessons being learned along the way. I feel optimistic that 2022 will be better, I’m excited to continue working and growing with C Squared Music, and pushing myself further with my studies. Music wise, there are lots of plans for both Disconnected Souls and Sensory Enigma… As well as one or two collaborations!

Hello!
Christmas is almost here (I have absolutely no idea where this year has gone), and my band are continuing our tradition of releasing a Christmas cover with John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s classic!
I’m writing this blog post a little later than I had originally planned, but as time no longer seems to behave itself in 2020 I’m sure you won’t mind too much. As the festive season approaches and the recent UK gov announcements have thrown a spanner in the works for many (I won’t be getting into my views on this as it’s not relevant to this post). I send my best wishes to you all especially those who are struggling this year.
The festive season, particularly over the past few years, has made me more aware of less eco-friendly activities that take place. Of course, people want to celebrate and give gifts but there are kinder ways to do so and quite frankly, we are at the point where greater changes in our lives need to be made. Ultimately, if we all went back to living off grid, with no more plastic, pollutants etc, never exchanging man-made products again, the Earth would be better off. However, I do not expect this to happen.
I’m thrilled to share with you the Christmas cover song from Disconnected Souls (my band) for 2020! This year’s choice is Frankie Goes to Hollywood’s The Power of Love!
This is not going to be easy, but if this were easy surely the problem would have been fixed by now?
As I wrote those words above another thought popped into my head… actually this could be easy it’s just humans aren’t good with change.
I’m trying to push significantly harder to live a more eco friendly lifestyle. Now, I won’t be able to go fully plastic free for a number of reasons, one manufacturers are still geared towards plastic (keep fighting for change!). Two, like most people, I have a lot of stuff. So it will be a case of making as many changes as I can. If everyone made a few changes, the result would be huge!

I’ve always enjoyed sewing and being in need of another face covering I decided to make my own. There a numerous tutorials in both video and blog form so this won’t be a tutorial as such, but rather explaining how I took existing instructions and made them suit my needs.

For those of you in bands, or aspiring to be a solo artist, the music industry can be a difficult place in which to wedge your foot in the door. I imagine this to be a rather solid, heavy oak door. Something one might find at a large manor house or even a castle… I digress. With my metal band Disconnected Souls and my business Deviate PR, I’m trying to experiment with new approaches that may help benefit others who are trying to ‘get out there’.
